Usually I play with my two winged looper practice partner but he injured himself playing basket ball so now I have no one to play one Tuesdays and Thursdays. Thursday I can go to the club but today I had to play with the robot. I practiced serving the way the coach showed me. I also tried a new SP Giant Dragon Turbo 612. It looks like it is a MP but plays better than 563 and what shocked me is that if you simply block or punch block off the bounce there is spin reversal like a LP. It chops well too. Strange.

Hope 2013 brings lots more table tennis and improvement for all the guys on this blog.

Today I got the chance to run off to Brisbane table tennis association for a solid hour and a half. It is short yes but I take what I get now.

I played straight games only losing one against Mick a two sided looper who gave me a great warm up to the newly renovated centre. The wooden floors have been sanded back and reconditioned to perfection. A bit glary but they are mint condition for grip.

I now have plenty of TT here in Pattaya. Played both Hans and Stefan the last two days. I said previously that I was hoping to win a match off of Hans but the reality has been something quite different. One set out of eight matches is all I have managed. I would say I am playing better than a year ago but so is he . His serve is still wicked but I enjoyed it immensely. He gave me a lesson which included some drills with fast pushes to my forehand. I would often stick them in the net so he told me to let the ball drop, so to let some spin decrease before I hit it.
